2010 Aquatic Zoo Animal Nutrition Workshop

2010 Aquatic Zoo Animal Nutrition Workshop

Due to a lack of interest in some topics in the original workshop, we have revised the workshop schedule.

The Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums Nutrition Advisory and Research Group (CAZA-NARG) invites you to attend the 2010 Aquatic Zoo Animal Nutrition Workshop at the Biodôme de Montreal in Montreal, Quebec, Canada Thursday November 18 and Friday November 19, 2010.

Day 1 (November 18): Aquatic Birds
Day 2 (November 19): Aquatic Mammals

This workshop is designed for professionals of zoological institutions with responsibilities for any aspect of dietary provision in an aquatic or semi-aquatic environment. The workshop materials will assist you in remaining up-to-date with research in aquatic animal nutrition and with recommended “best practices” relative to diet formulation, husbandry, pathology and, physiology.
Registration can include both or only one workshop date. We offer a reduced rate for students. Please contact Deb McWilliams for a registration form.

This workshop is given by Deborah McWilliams, MSc, Zoo Animal Nutritionist. Deb is a comparative zoo animal nutritionist with over 10 years experience in zoo animal nutrition consulting, education and publication. The Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums Nutrition Advisory and Research Group (CAZA-NARG) has provided zoo animal nutrition services to zoological institutions since 2001. For further information, please access our website at:

Accommodations: A special workshop rate for accommodations will be available at the Auberge Universelle at 5000 Rue Sherbrooke Est, Montreal located near the Biodome. Further details will be provided to workshop attendees.
